Christmas and New Year at the Old Rectory

The winter months at the Old Rectory are all about bracing walks in the surrounding countryside or along the coast then curling up with a glass of something next to a roaring fire.

We're open throughout December and January with the exception of Dec 24-26.   Our 8ft Christmas tree comes courtesy of the lads from Alnwick Rugby club and is decorated with an eclectic mix of decorations we've collected on travels or been given by family and friends. Our decorations of holly and pine boughs are collected in the local woods and fill the house with a lovely scent.

Why not get away for a few days for a festive break? We will be serving suppers with a festive twist along with our hearty full Northumbrian breakfasts. You can also say goodbye 2024 with a glass of our English Sparkling wine as we welcome the New Year.
