Christmas and New Year at the Old Rectory
The winter months at the Old Rectory are all about bracing walks in the surrounding countryside or along the coast then curling up with a glass of something next to a roaring fire. Our 8ft Christmas tree comes courtesy of the lads from Alnwick Rugby club and is decorated with an eclectic mix of decorations we've collected on travels or been given by family and friends. Our decorations of holly and pine boughs are collected in the local woods and fill the house with a lovely scent which mixes with the tempting aromas from the kitchen.
Why not get away for a few days for a festive break? We will be serving evening meals throughout the Christmas season and Christmas lunch on the 25th, so you can enjoy traditional turkey or something different without worrying about the washing up. You can also say goodbye 2024 with a glass of our English Sparkling wine as we welcome the New Year.
